Short and simple - no one likes to spend too much on a hotel nor get an absolute worse service. Now, after traveling for 3 full years across New Zealand, Philippines, Indonesia, Latvia I have some tips that will help you get the best for the money spent.
Some tips and tricks to maximise your budget and still have the best stay:
I always book through Booking or Airbnb (on mobile app better deals)
Great if the hotel has toiletries included (just more convenient)
If they have bath robes - that’s always a great sign (I have noticed)
Book accommodation with a pool, if it’s a tropical country
Choose a location as close as possible to your planned activities (big money and time saver)
Go for “Breakfast included” (save your time and energy before turning on explore mode)
Choose local when possible to support locals
