5 mistakes moms make when taking family to Bali holidays (HOW to avoid them)

After 1 month traveling together with Arturs mom, we faced situations where we couldn’t truly experience holidays. We had to overpay for scooter rentals, got food poisoning, and we needed to see our Arturs mom stressing out about where to go the next day. We have created this list to help you to avoid them. Your family deserves an amazing trip they will always remember.

5 mistakes moms make when taking family to Bali holidays & HOW to avoid them):

1. Over-scheduling

Instead plan in up to 2-3 activities and no more. It is your vacation and not your job, let yourself and family enjoy breakfast, Bali rides, dreamy locations and just really being together.

2. Letting your kids eat street food

You can never know how fresh the food is, instead choose restaurants you can trust - someone recommended, tested before you. Avoid using ice cubes.

3. Miscalculating holiday budget

As now more and more tourists are traveling to Bali, locals are increasing prices for scooter rentals, transportation, food, hotels and tours. Be ready to bargain, ask around what is the normal price per scooter per day. For example, it's crazy how the same N max scooter per day can cost in Canggu 1.8 million IDR while in Ubud it can be 2 times less. If you rent it for a week - feel free to ask for a lower price.

4. Using credit cards instead of cash

Make sure to use ATM while you are in the city and you have a chance. It's not easy to find an international ATM outside the city. Be aware that outside of the city you won't be able to pay with the card. If you travel with your own currency and are looking for a place to exchange the money - be extremely careful, always count what you receive. It's common that some of the local exchange points will try to scam you.

5. Not having a plan

After a log day you don't want to spend an extra hour just to plan out the next day, instead plan your trip ahead, this will literally save you money and give you that extra hour of time to spend with your family by the pool. Next time your kids will ask - where are we going next? You will have your answer!

We believe by avoiding these 5 mistakes you will make your family holidays way better, stress free, and save money because now you know.
